Cancer -a diagnosis – uncertainty – fear – questions – life – how – what now?
One thing is for sure – keeping moving can only be a good thing.
Because that’s what we do in life – we move everyday for everything.
Cancer may have perched itself in our life – cancer is not the life.
Everyday tasks and engagements still happen and yet in the past, little has been mentioned, suggested, or encouraged around moving for those facing or beyond a cancer diagnosis.
With evidence now breaking the mold around the topic of cancer and exercise and the amazing benefits – the how of bringing that to light is more needed. (See some links related to this here)
We are so happy to see the ‘move through cancer – walk and talk’ program offer a simple, doable enjoyable ‘how’
This program combines the skills and knowledge of an Exercise Physiologist and Fitness Professional- both with expertise, professionalism experience and personal care qualities and provides a platform to learn about exercising safely, moving within personal limits and gaining the support and motivation, to be ready and able to move beyond the 6 week program!
The evidence now reveals the many benefits exercise and moving brings.
Real Time Enhancements is happy to provide the BREATHE acronym to the program as a simple support tool to build the confidence and motivation to make that more possible.
The first program commences in Adelaide in February (sorry for those outside of Adelaide however we’ll keep you posted on when it extends beyond Adelaide city).Move through cancer… more about it.
